Blacksmithing: Patch Knife

Join us in creating your own custom knife crafted from a four-inch block of steel! Yes, you begin with the block of steel and leave with your own handmade knife! You will choose the style of twist for the handle and apply techniques to create individual look and style.  Then, continue your project by learning how to forge the blade to shape and finish by grinding and hardening your personalized knife. Beginners are welcome, no previous blacksmithing experience is required! Want to make it more personalized? For an additional $25.00 we provide custom made 100% leather sleeves for your knife, Cash or check Required for payment of the leather sheath. Students are exposed to hot steel emitting sparks while hammered.  Please wear protective clothing to cover your arms and legs.  Closed-toed shoes are required.  Gloves and safety glasses are provided

• Students ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian also enrolled in the class.
• There is a maximum of 6 people per class.  Class will only be held if there are 2 or more attendants, we will move tickets to a future class date if attendance requirement is not met.
