Blacksmithing: Wall Mount J-Hook

This is a fun introduction 2 hour blacksmith class; you will walk away in 2 hours with a finished decorative hook.

In this class, students explore the craft of blacksmithing to make their very own wall mount J-hooks.  Time permitting students will leave with 2-3 hooks handmade by their very self! Join us to learn the proper use of blacksmithing tools, including fire and forge control, while you hammer and twist steel in the traditional blacksmith medium. Beginners are welcome, no previous blacksmithing experience is required.

Students are exposed to hot steel emitting sparks while hammered.  Please wear protective clothing to cover your arms and legs.  Closed-toed shoes are required.  Gloves and safety glasses are provided

• Students ages 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian also enrolled in the class.
• There is a maximum of 6 people per class.  Class will only be held if there are 2 or more attendants, we will move tickets to a future class date if attendance requirement is not met.
